To round out the second half of the Cougars' double header, The Lady Cougars (0-1) opened up their season with a 103-55 loss to the Golden Eagles of Saint Joseph's College-Long Island (1-0).

The Lady Cougars had two players score in double figures. Freshman guard/forward Shae-quana Brathwaite (Brooklyn,NY) led the way in scoring with 17 points while adding in seven rebounds and three assists. Freshman guard Jo-Ann Elliott (Brooklyn,NY) scored 15 points while hauling in three rebounds. Freshman guard Destiny Simmons (Brooklyn,NY) had a solid all-around game putting up seven points, five assists and four rebounds.

As for the Golden Eagles, Senior Andrea Lavarone scored a game-high 27 points while grabbing 12 rebounds.

The Lady Cougars look to bounce back from their season home opener loss in their first away game of the season against Oswego State, this Friday, November 17th at 7:30pm.
