Women's Basketball Drops Consolation Match Against Keystone

The Cougars' women's' basketball team played in the consolation match against Keystone College as part of the Max Ziel Women's Basketball Tournament hosted by Oswego State on Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm. The Cougars dropped the match by a score of 35-78.
The Cougars had two players in double figures. Freshman guard Malecka Davis (Brooklyn, NY), who was named to the All-Tournament team, had a team high fourteen points and also tied the team high for rebounds with eight with freshman center Monicha Jean-Pierre (Brooklyn, NY). Junior center Cyndi Whyte (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored twelve points while also collection seven rebounds. As a team, the Cougars collected 44 rebounds.Â
For the Giants, Bre Moore scored a game-high 26 points to go along with 13 rebounds while Mayah Kitchen also added a double-double on 12 points and a game-high 18 boards while leading all players with four assists.
The Lady Cougars look to bounce back from their tournament losses as they return back home on Tuesday, November 21st at 7:00pm when Medgar Evers face Albertus Magnus College.Â
