Game Winning Shot by #2 Maurice Swaby II Gives Cougars Two Wins In A Row

On Saturday afternoon, the Cougars played at home versus New York University for their third home game of the season. Cougars came on top to win the game off a clutch shot by Senior Guard Maurice Swaby II (Brooklyn, N.Y.) to win their second game in a row by a score of 79-77.Â
The Cougars had three players in double figures with Junior Guard Justin Sutton (Brooklyn, N.Y.) leading the way in scoring for the Cougars with 29 points while reaching short of a double-double with nine rebounds and five assist in the game (all team high). Sophomore Forward Hassan Jones (Harlem,NY) scored 14 points (7 field goals with 8 field goal attempts) while also contributing six rebounds.  Reigning CUNYAC MBB Rookie of the Week Freshman Small Forward Basheeru Camara (Bronx,NY) scored thirteen points while also contributing four rebounds, two steals and two blocks.Â
For the Violets, #13 Cristiano reached a double-double in the match having 21 points and 10 rebounds while also contributing two blocks.
The Cougars look forward to continue their winning streak by playing their first conference matchup of the season versus conference rival Hunter College at home on Tuesday, December 5th at 7:00pm.Â
