The Streak Ends as Cougars Fall Short to Hawks 74-73

On Tuesday night, the Cougars took the court once again at Cougars Cave versus the Hawks of Hunter College for their fourth home game of the season. Unfortunately however, the Cougars came up short, halting their winning streak at two, falling to the Hawks 74-73.
The Cougars had three players in double figures. Senior guard Maurice Swaby II (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had a game high 20 points while being a pest on the defensive end, blocking two shots and racking up three steals. Reigning Player of the Week Junior Guard Justin Sutton (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had an all around game scoring 18 points, hauling in five rebounds and dishing out five assists. Back to back CUNYAC MBB Rookie of the Week, Freshman Small Forward Basheeru Camara (Bronx,NY) scored 15 points while grabbing six rebounds and dishing out two assists.
For the Hawks, they had a balanced team effort, having five players score in double figures. #24 Amer Lukac lead the hawks in scoring with 16 points.
The Cougars look to bounce back once again, defending Cougars Cave when they take on conference rival York College Cardinals on Friday, December 7th at 7:00pm.
