Men's Soccer Fall to John Jay

The Medgar Evers College Men's soccer team falls to John Jay by a score of 1-5. At halftime, John Jay was leading the game 2-1 against the Cougars. But, during the secomd half, John Jay was able to score three more goals to make the final score 1-5.
Freshman Abdul Edwards (Georgetown / Guyana) scored the only goal for the Cougars in the 25th minute of the game which gave the team an early 1-0 lead. Edwards also took another shot on goal but wasn't able to score. Sophomore Jordan Coke (Kingston / Jamaica) led the Cougars offensively with three shots on goal with seven total shots attempts.  Senior Patrick Gentles (Portmore, Jamaica) and Freshman Adeyemi Adeniyi (Oyo / Nigeria) both took a shot in the match as well. Freshman goalkeeper Yasir Eliassaint (Leogane / Haiti) had two saves in the match out of five goal attempts.Â
Medgar Evers (1-7, 0-2) will return to the field on Saturday, September 23rd at home versus College of Staten Island at 7:00pm.Â
