Men's Soccer Shut Out by CSI
(written by James Daniel Padilla, SID)
The Medgar Evers Men's Soccer team was in action Saturday night as they faced conference rival College of Staten Island and got shut out by a score of 0-2.
The Cougars played very well defensively in the match as halftime score was 0-0 but Cougars couldn't get anything going offensively while the defense allowed two goals to be scored by CSI.
Jordan Coke (Kingston / Jamaica) , Darrell Ambersley (Portmore / Jamaica), Skyvinsky Fils (Leogane / Haiti), and Adeyemi Adeniyi (Oyo / Nigeria) all took a shot on goal but they could not get through the tough CSI defense. Goalkeeper James Hyacinthe (Aquin / Haiti) returning from injury had a total of seven saves out of two goal attempts. Â
Medgar Evers (1-8, 0-3) will return to the field on Monday, September 25th for an away game against Farmingdale State College in Farmingdale, NY.
