Women's Volleyball Falls to Valley Forge

The Medgar Evers women's volleyball team traveled to Phoenixville, PA to University of Valley Forge on Saturday and drop their match to University of Valley Forge by a score of 1-3 (7-25, 4-25, 26-24, 4-25). Valley Forge winning the first and the second set, Medgar Evers winning the third place and Valley Forge won the fourth and last set. 

Sophomore Melisa Wright (St. Catherine, Jamaica WI) led the Cougars offensively with five kills and led in digs with sixteen. Freshman Shania Laguerre (Trindad, WI) had four kills and four digs in the match. Freshman Kaina Bazard (Haiti) led the Cougars with five assist and also had thirteen digs. 

Medgar Evers (0-11,0-3) will return to the court on Saturday, September 30th away at 2:00pm against Sarah Lawrence and 4:00pm against York College in the York Tri Match.
