Men's Soccer Shut Out by Hunter

The Medgar Evers Men's Soccer team was in action Wednesday afternoon as they faced conference rival Hunter College and got shut out by a score of  0-4. 

The Cougars couldn't get there offense on the right track in the match since the Hawks played very well defensively. The Hawks was able to score their first goal in the first half and three goals in the second half against the Cougars defense.

Patrick Gentles (Portmore, Jamaica), Darrell Ambersley (Portmore / Jamaica) and Yasir Eliassaint (Leogane / Haiti) each took a shot on goal. Gentles had five shots in total and Ambersley took three shots in total. Jordan Coke (Kingston / Jamaica) and Abdul Conteh (Sierra Leone / West Africa) took a shot in the match as well. Goalkeeper James Hyacinthe (Aquin / Haiti) had two saves in the match out of four goal attempts. James had both saves in the second period. 

Medgar Evers (1-10, 0-4) will return to the field on Wednesday, October 4th for their sixth home game versus conference rival Brooklyn College at 5:00pm in Brooklyn, NY.
