Women's Basketball Drops Conference Rival Match Against College Of Staten Island

The Cougars' women's' basketball team played in their fifth conference matchup of the season against College Of Staten Island on Tuesday night at 5:00pm. The Cougars dropped the match by a score of 41-92Â making them 0-5 in conference play so far in the season.Â
The Lady Cougars had one player in the double figures. Junior Center Cyndi Whyte (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored 17 points (8-14 from the field) and also contributed with 7 rebounds. Freshman Center Elizabeth Figaro (Brooklyn, NY) recorded a game-high 7 rebounds. Freshman Guard Destiny Simmons (Brooklyn, NY) and Junior Guard Janaisha Carrington (Brooklyn, NY) tied the game-high in assist with 4. Freshman Guard Malecka Davis (Brooklyn, NY) had a game high 3 steals in the match.  Â
For the Dolphins, they played a very aggressive offensive collecting a total of 92 points, 48 rebounds, 25 assists and 25 steals. Christina Pasaturo contributed with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 6 steals, and 3 assist.Â
Lady Cougars continue their conference play this week by playing an away game against conference rival CIty College of New York on Thursday, January 11th at 5:00pm.
