Women's Basketball Drops Match Against University of Valley ForgeĀ

The Cougars' women's' basketball team played in their 17th match of the season against University of Valley ForgeĀ on Friday night at 6:00pm. The Cougars dropped the match by a score of 40-87 while the team still is searching for their first win of the season.
Lady Cougars had two players in double figures. Junior CenterĀ Cyndi Whyte (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had a team-high 16 points and also contributed with 7 rebounds in 35 minutes of play. Freshman GuardĀ Malecka Davis (Brooklyn, NY) scored 11 points with 5 rebounds and a team-high 4 steals in 36 minutes of play. Junior GuardĀ Janaisha Carrington (Brooklyn, NY) led the team in rebounds with 10. Freshman GuardĀ Destiny Simmons (Brooklyn, NY) led the team in assist with 2.Ā
For the Patriots, Natalie Cortez led her team with the win scoring with 20 points.
Lady Cougars play again next week by traveling awayĀ to go against conference rival York CollegeĀ on Monday, January 22nd at 5:30pm.
