Women's Basketball Drops Conference Rival Match Against Brooklyn College

The Cougars' women's' basketball team played in their tenth conference matchup of the season against Brooklyn College on Wednesday night at 5:00pm. The Cougars loses by a score of 30-93 making them 0-10 in conference play so far in the season.
Lady Cougars had two players in double figures. Freshman Guard Malecka Davis (Brooklyn, NY) led the Cougars in scoring with 11 points going 50% on the free throw line while also contributing with 4 rebounds in 29 minutes. Junior Guard Tanayah Williams (Brooklyn, NY) scored 10 points in the match in 37 minutes of play. Freshman Guard Sharena Mellor (Brooklyn, NY) collected a team high in rebounds recording 9. Junior Guard Janaisha Carrington (Brooklyn, NY) collected a team high in assist recording 5. Freshman Guard Destiny Simmons (Brooklyn, NY) collected a team high in steals recording 3.
For the Bulldogs, Alexandra Moogan led her team to the win shooting 24 points shooting 9-11 on the field banking 6 threes in 16 minutes.Â
Lady Cougars play again this week by traveling away to go against conference rival Hunter College on Saturday, January 27th at 1:00pm.
