Women's Basketball Crushed 31-89 by Hunter College

The Cougars' women's' basketball team played in their eleventh conference matchup of the season against Hunter College on Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm. The Cougars loses by a score of 31-89 making them 0-11 in conference play so far in the season.

Lady Cougars had one lone player in double figures. Junior Center Cyndi Whyte (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the Cougars in scoring with 14 points while contributing with 6 rebounds and a team high 3 assist in 40 minutes of play. Freshman Guard Destiny Simmons (Brooklyn, NY) scored 9 points while also contributing 5 rebounds in 40 minutes of play. Freshman Guard Sharena Mellor (Brooklyn, NY) had a team high in rebounds with 11 in 29 minutes of play. 

For the Hawks, Jade Aponte led her team to the win with having a game high 15 points. 

Lady Cougars continue their conference play by traveling away to go against conference rival College of Staten Island on Tuesday, January 30th at 5:30pm.
