Men's Basketball Falls to Conference Rival Hunter College

The Cougars' men's basketball team played in their eleventh conference matchup of the season against Hunter College on Saturday afternoon at 3:00pm. The Cougars lost the match by a score of 66-77 making them 3-8 in conference play so far this season.
Cougars had two players in double figures. Senior Guard Maurice Swaby II (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had a game high 25 points while also having a game high 5 steals and tied the team high in assist with 3 in 36 minutes of play. Junior Guard Justin Sutton (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored 12 points shooting 50% from the field while contributing with 4 rebounds in 24 minutes of play off the bench. Sophomore Power Forward Jafet Thomas (Bronx, N.Y.) led the Cougars in rebounds with 7 and a game high in blocks with 4 in 33 minutes of play.
For the Hawks, Matt Franks and Amer Lukac both led their team to the win both contributing double doubles (20,10 & 17,22).
Cougars continue their conference play by traveling away to go against conference rival College of Staten Island on Tuesday, January 30th at 7:30pm.
