Men's Basketball Loses A Close One To Brooklyn CollegeĀ

The Cougars' men's basketball team played in their fourth conference matchup of the seasonĀ versus Brooklyn CollegeĀ on Friday night at 7:15pm. The Cougars dropped the match by a score of 67-69 making them 1-3 in conference play so far this season.

The Cougars had three players in double figures. JuniorĀ GuardĀ Justin Sutton (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led all scorers with 20 points shooting 50% from the field while also recording seven rebounds, and three assist from the bench playing 36 minutes. Senior GuardĀ Maurice Swaby II (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had a great overall game recording 12 points, 7 rebounds, and a game high 5 assist in 32 minutes of play. Sophomore Power ForwardĀ Hassan Jones (Harlem,NY) recorded 11 points going 3-4 on the free throw line, and also collected 8 rebounds with 2 blocks. Freshman Small ForwardĀ Basheeru Camara (Bronx,NY) led the Cougars in rebounds with 10 as he came short of a double-double with 7 points.Ā 

For the Bulldogs, Alpha Bah led his team with 24 points and 16 rebounds.Ā 

Cougars continue their conference play next week by returning home to go against conference rival College of Staten Island on Tuesday, January 9th at 7:00pm.Ā
