The Cougars (0-2) fell to the Blue Jays (2-0), led by former University of Connecticut Head Coach Jim Calhoun, by a score of 95-82.

In his second-career collegiate game, Freshman Elias Scott led MEC with 21 points, hitting five of his eight three-point attempts and seven of 11 field goal tries. Senior Justin Sutton added 20, while junior Jafet Thomas dropped 16 and grabbed five rebounds, including four off the offensive glass.
