The Medgar Evers College women's basketball team faced off against Ramapo College in Mahwah, NJ, on Friday, November 16.
The matchup was the Cougars' first game of the Roadrunner Tip-Off Tournament, which Ramapo is hosting on Friday and Saturday, November 16-17. The Cougars (0-2) fell to the Roadrunners (3-0) by a score of 54-24.
Janaisha Carrington posted a team-high-tying seven points and three steals, hit three of her six field-goal attempts, and sunk her lone three-point attempt.
Jessycca Myers contributed a game-high-tying seven rebounds, including three on the offensive glass, while
Cyndi Whyte added five boards of her own in addition to her team-best-equaling seven points.
Freshmen
Khalia Sprattley and
Janae Lanier each tallied five rebounds as well.
The Cougars return to action tomorrow at 12:00 pm, when they take on Southern Vermont University for their last game of the Roadrunner Tip-Off Tournament. Live stream can be found at
