The Medgar Evers College women's basketball team played its home opener against Wesleyan University at the Cougars Cave in Brooklyn, NY, on Tuesday, November 20.
The Cougars (0-4) fell to the Cardinals (2-1) by a final score of 84-38.
Destiny Simmons posted a team-high nine points, adding four rebounds.
Janaisha Carrington and
Jessycca Myers each contributed eight points while grabbing four and five rebounds, respectively.
Wesleyan's Olivia Gorman led all players with 17 points.
The Cougars return to action on Saturday and Sunday for the 20th Annual Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial. MEC will face Lasell College on Saturday at 5:00 pm at the Cougars Cave.
