The Medgar Evers College women's basketball team faced the College of Staten Island at the Cougars Cave in Brooklyn, NY, on Friday, December 7.

The Cougars (0-10, 0-3) fell to the Dolphins (6-2, 3-0) by a final score of 67-34.

The start of the game was rough for the black-and-gold as they trailed 16-4 at the quarter mark. The Cougars clawed back in the second quarter, showing signs of life on offense and scoring 16 points, but the increased pace of the game favored CSI who dropped 25 of their own.

MEC showed fight until the end of the game and the fourth quarter was the most evenly-matched quarter.

Jessycca Myers led Medgar Evers with nine points and added eight rebounds and four blocks, while Britiny McIntosh swatted three blocks and grabbed 11 rebounds. the freshman's third-consecutive game with double-digit rebounds. 
Janaisha Carrington added eight points and Destiny Simmons posted totals of seven points and four steals.

The Cougars return to action next Tuesday at 6:00 pm for a home contest with the College of Mount Saint Vincent at the Cougars Cave.
