Brooklyn, N.Y. The Men's Soccer team suffered a 0-6 shutout loss to Eastern Connecticut State University in their first official game of the 2018 season.
 
ECSU managed to score their first four goals in the first period and last two in the second. The Cougars fought hard to catch up with shots from returners Jordan Coke (Kingston / Jamaica, Lehman College HS), Darrell Ambersley (Portmore / Jamaica, Jamaica College) and Skyvinsky Fils (Leogane / Haiti, Tilden) and also from newcomers Skyvinsky Fils (Leogane / Haiti, Tilden), Jubril Okunlola (Ibaban / Nigeria, South Shore HS) and Jubril Okunlola (Ibaban / Nigeria, South Shore HS) but that would not be enough to super pass ECSU's strong defense.
 
Even with the apparent blowout credit should be given to Goalie Jubril Okunlola (Ibaban / Nigeria, South Shore HS) with 6 saves and 10 blocks.
 
Men's Soccer will see Merchant Marine Academy on September 5^th at 7:45pm in Kings Point, N.Y.
