The Medgar Evers College women's basketball team faced Hunter College in a road CUNYAC contest at the Hunter Sportsplex in New York, NY, on Wednesday, January 16.
The Cougars (0-17, 0-8 CUNYAC) fell to the Hawks (9-8, 8-1) by a final score of 80-41.
The black-and-gold started strong, taking a quick 5-0 lead, but the lead changed hands when Hunter took an 8-7 advantage. The Hawks led for the rest of the game.
Khalia Sprattley led Medgar with 12 points, hitting four three pointers in the first half.
Jessycca Myers added 10 points, while Myers and Sprattley contributed nine and seven rebounds, respectively.
The squad returns to action this Friday for another road CUNYAC contest, this one the Battle of Bedford Avenue against Brooklyn College at 5 pm.
