BROOKLYN, NY - The Medgar Evers College women's basketball team played a home CUNY Athletic Conference game against Brooklyn College at the Cougars Cave on Tuesday, January 28.
The Cougars (4-13, 1-8 CUNYAC) fell to the Bulldogs (13-5, 8-0) by a final score of 99-42.
Despite falling behind early in the game by a large margin, the Cougars fought back and won the fourth quarter 15-12. Still, it was to little too late to overcome their Bedford Ave. foes, who are undefeated in conference play this season.
Cyndi Whyte recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 10 points and 13 rebounds, while
Destiny Simmons nailed four of her eight three-point attempts on her way to a 16-point, 6-assist night.Â
The team returns to action this Sunday against Trinity Washington University, who they play at 2 pm at the Cougars Cave.
