Later, with the game knotted at 14 apiece, FDU-Florham took the lead for good when Andre Macaranas drained a triple to put the visitors ahead 17-14. That aforementioned triple by Macaranas sparked a 13-2 run for the Devils, as they catapulted to a 27-16 advantage. After Zingaro earned the first bucket of the second stanza to give FDU a 43-28 lead, the Cougars put together an 8-0 run over a span of 24 seconds to inch to within seven points (43-36).
