Head Coach Hugh Reid Quote on MEC Legacy Invitational

"The Medgar Evers College Legacy meet continues to be an amazing event," Reid said. "For the second year in a row, we have received nothing but praise for the quality of our meet. The excitement this year can be attributed to the new, faster, fan-friendlier course, as well as the "Run for a Cure" and "Breast Cancer Awareness" components that we have implemented in conjuncture with the event. The students, coaches, volunteers, friends, and families came out and supported the meet, and the cause. Our partners, New York Life, were an amazing group to work with, and I'd like to thank them for their support. As far as our teams, we continue to improve, and we're focused on CUNYs. All four of the women that competed finished in the top 20 and won awards. The men's squad finished a respectable fourth. Many of our men ran personal-best times, which will serve them well moving forward. Three of them finished in the top 20 and also received awards."
