Lyons also finalized her night with seven rebounds, six dimes, and two blocks.

For Baruch College, Mia Castillo became the CUNYAC's all-time leading scorer, as her game-high 34 points boosted her career total to 2,273. In addition, her 14 assists led all players, and she grabbed five rebounds, as well. Elissa Leung contributed 16 points, three rebounds, and three assists, and D'Andre McRae added nine points and nine rebounds. Finally, Angela Bacarella scored eight points, swiped a game-high 10 steals, and grabbed six rebounds.

In what was a tightly-contested opening quarter, Medgar Evers trailed 10-6 in the opening 2:06 of action before going on a 10-4 run over a span of 5:06 to snatch a 16-14 advantage. Davis contributed four points during that aforementioned run, with Quezada adding three.

Later, with the teams knotted at 16-all, the Cougars finished the quarter with five consecutive points, courtesy of a bucket by Quezada, and a three-point conversion by Lyons, to snatch a 21-16 edge after 10 minutes of play.

With 6:40 remaining in the half, a made jumper by Quezada gave Medgar Evers its biggest lead of the evening, a six-point edge, 24-18. After that, however, it was all Bearcats for the remainder of the evening. Baruch finished the half on a 23-5 run to take a 41-29 advantage into the locker room at halftime. During that spurt, Castillo scored eight points, including a fastbreak layup that beat the buzzer.

Baruch used the momentum it established midway through the second quarter to pull away even further in the third, going up by as many as 20 points at one juncture (55-35) before capping the period with an advantage of 19 points (62-43).

The Cougars did put together one last-ditch effort in the fourth. With the Bearcats holding their largest lead of the evening, a 25-point edge (70-45) with 5:36 left, Medgar Evers put together a 15-4 run over a span of 3:29 to pull to within 14 (74-60). Quezada's six contributed points was the highlight of that run. Medgar Evers was unable to convert on another field goal the rest of the way, though, as Baruch went on to win the game by 17.

The Bearcats were the more efficient team shooting the basketball on the evening, as Baruch connected on 30 out of 81 shots from the floor (37 percent). Medgar Evers earned a conversion rate of 32.5 percent (26-80). The Cougars dominated the glass, snatching 64 rebounds to Baruch's 50, but the Bearcats totaled 19 steals on the night to Medgar Evers' eight. The visitors held a 25-16 edge in assists, and Baruch won the turnover battle by a wide margin, committing just 13 miscues on the night to the Cougars' 27.

Medgar Evers will return to action on Friday evening, as the Cougars will make the short trip to Brooklyn College for a CUNYAC Battle of Brooklyn with the Bulldogs. Start-time for the CUNYAC battle is scheduled for 5:00pm.
