York College then scored three consecutive points, capped by a kill by Chamiya Foy, to take an 18-13 advantage. The Cougars refused to go quietly, though, as Argueta's ace capped off a 4-0 spurt as Medgar inched to within a point, 18-17. The pendulum then swung towards the Cardinals, with Foy registering a trio of kills to extend York's advantage to five, 22-17. Shortly thereafter, Lefebvre's emphatic kill clinched the set victory for the visitors.
