Hyde Park, NY- The Lady Cougars Women's Volleyball team lost to Culinary Institute of America Steels (CIA) 3-0 (9-25, 12-25, 10-25) on Saturday Sept. 17, 2011 at CIA in Hyde Park, NY. The Lady Cougars fell to 0-6 while the Steels improved to 2-0.

The Lady Cougars didn't seem like themselves from the start. They made countless errors which led to CIA points. The Lady Cougars in the loss were led by Yvanna Jack and Janiece Hill each having 2 kills. Jack also tallied an assist, 8 digs, 2 service aces, and a blocking assist. Annmarie Bemberry led her team in service aces with 2, and Jack led her team in digs with 8.

CIA was led by Corrine Williams with 7 kills.

The Lady Cougars will be back in action when they play on Saturday Sept. 24, 2011 in a multimatch at College of New Rochelle. They play Brooklyn College for the 2nd time in a non conference match at 1 pm and College of New Rochelle at 3 pm.
