Jamaica, NY- The Lady Cougars volleyball team fell to the Rutgers-Camden Scarlet Raptors 3-0 (14-25, 9-25, 14-25) on Wednesday Sept. 7, 2011 at Jamaica, NY, the home of York College. The Lady Cougars fell to 0-2 while the Scarlet Raptors improved to 3-2.

The magic number was 3 for the Lady Cougars. That is how many kills they recorded in each of the 3 sets. Catheline Joseph and Yvanna Jack each tied with a team high 3 kills. Joseph added 3 digs and a solo block. Jack added a service ace, 5 digs, 6 solo blocks. Grace Mercado led her team with 3 assists, Beatrice Bonhomme led her team with  6 digs.

The Scarlet Raptors were led by Olivia Murphy with 8 kills and Katherine Crosby with 6 kills.

The Lady Cougars will be back in action on Saturday Sept 10, 2011, where they play York College and Brooklyn College in the CUNYAC Multimatch at Baruch College. The matches are 10am and 12pm.
