Box Score Brooklyn, NY- On Wednesday Oct. 3, 2012, the Medgar Evers College Women's Volleyball squad competed against HVWAC member Saint Joseph's College of Brooklyn Bears. The Bears won 3-0 (25-12, 25-12, 25-9). The Bears improved to 7-2 Overall and 2-0 HVWAC while Medgar Evers drops to 0-13 Overall and 0-4 HVWAC.

After not playing up to par in the first 2 sets, Medgar Evers played a great 3^rd set against the Bears. The Cougars led twice and tied the match at 20, before losing the set 25-20.

In the loss, Medgar Evers College was led by Junior Catheline Joseph with 6 kills on 23 total attacks, an assist, and 3 blocking assists. Junior Janiece Hill added 3 kills. Sophomore Setter AnnMarie Bemberry tallied 8 assists.

In the win, Saint Joseph's College Bears were led from Nicole Rios and Kim Matthews with 8 kills.

Medgar Evers College will be back in action on Monday Oct. 8, 2012 when they compete in a CUNYAC Multi Match at Baruch College. The Cougars will play City College at 12pm and Hunter College at 2pm.
