Box Score New York, NY- On Tuesday Sept. 11, 2012, the Medgar Evers College Women's Volleyball squad played the John Jay Bloodhounds. The Cougars lost 3-0 (13-25, 16-25, and 23-25). The loss dropped Medgar Evers College to 0-4 Overall and 0-3 CUNYAC while the Bloodhounds improved to 1-4 Overall and 1-2 CUNYAC.
 
In the loss, Medgar Evers College was led from Senior Beatrice Bonhomme. The Brooklyn native, accumulated a team high 7 kills to go along with 2 service aces. Junior Janiece Hill tallied 5 kills, to go along with 3 service aces, and 6 digs. Fellow classmate Catheline Joseph tallied 4 blocks (2 solo, 2 assisted), along with 8 digs, 3 service aces, and 3 kills. Sophomore AnnMarie Bemberry contributed with 19 assists.
 
John Jay was led by Martina Hot with 15 kills and Katherine Bonilla added 27 assists.
 
Medgar Evers College will be back in action on Thursday Sept. 13, 2012 when they play in their home opener against The King's College from New York. Game time is 7pm. Come on down to the Carroll Street Gym and cheer on your 2012 MEC Women's Volleyball Cougars.
