Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Rosemont, PA- The Women's Volleyball team traveled to Rosemont College in Rosemont, PA on Saturday Sept. 15, 2012. Their first match was against Trinity Washington University and then the host school Rosemont College. In match one, Medgar Evers College were defeated 3-1 to Trinity University. The scores were (25-21, 25-18, 20-25, and 25-20) all in favor of Tigers. The win improved their record to 1-7 Overall while Medgar Evers dropped to 0-6 Overall.
 
In the loss, Medgar Evers was led by Junior Catheline Joseph. Joseph tallied 6 kills on 20 total attacks, 5 service aces, an assist, 11 digs, and a solo block. Junior Beatrice Bonhomme also was credited with 6 kills but the difference was on 24 total attacks. Bonhomme accumulated 2 service aces, 2 assists, and 7 digs. Junior Janiece Hill tallied 5 kills and setter AnnMarie Bemberry added 15 assists. Junior Michell Cadet played in her first match as a member of the volleyball squad. Cadet earned a kill and an assist in her 4 sets of action.
 
In the win, Trinity (DC) was led by Lakia Meriweather with 10 kills.
 
In match 2, the host institution Rosemont College Ravens played Medgar Evers. The Ravens won 3-0 (25-20, 25-23 and 25-19). The win improved their record 2-3 Overall while Medgar Evers College dropped to 0-7 Overall.
 
In the loss, Medgar Evers College was led by Junior Catheline Joseph. The Lafayette High School alum tallied 11 kills on 30 total attacks. Joseph tallied an assist, 2 service aces, 7 digs, and 2 blocking assists. Junior and reigning HVWAC Honor Roll member Janiece Hill totaled 10 kills on 25 total attacks. Hill was also credited with an assist, 4 service aces, and 7 digs. Sophomore setter AnnMarie Bemberry accumulated a match high 21 assists.
 
In the win, the Ravens were led by Lexy Mrongowius with 5 kills.
 
The Medgar Evers College will be back in action on Sunday Sept. 16, 2012 when they play HVWAC member Culinary Institute of America Steels. Game time is 1pm at Medgar Evers College (Cougars' Cave).
