Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Throggs Neck, NY- The Women's Volleyball Cougars competed at the SUNY Maritime Multi Match earlier today. In match 1, the Cougars fell to the SUNY Purchase Panthers 3-0 (25-7, 25-17, and 25-12). The Panthers improve to 8-9 Overall while the Cougars drop to 1-20 Overall.

The Cougars tallied 13 kills for the match. Leading the way was Senior Outside Hitter and Captain Janiece Hill with 5 kills on 25 total attacks. Hill added 7 digs. Freshman Setter/Libero Naomi Chandler tallied 5 assists. Chandler added a kill, and 2 service aces. Freshman Setter Charlena Mackey added a team high 4 service aces.

SUNY Purchase was led by Alex Lally and Alicia McCarthy with 8 kills apiece.

In Match 2, the Cougars fell to the SUNY Maritime Privateers 3-0 (25-20, 25-12, and 25-20). The Privateers improve to 2-22 Overall while the Cougars fall to 1-21 Overall. 

This was a rematch of an earlier contest. The Cougars tallied more kills than Maritime 20-16 but lost this match on 8 service errors. Leading the way, was Senior and Outside Hitter Janiece Hill with a season high 13 kills on 37 total attacks. Sophomore Setter Nina Bernadine-White led the team with 8 assists, and Freshman Middle Hitter/Outside Hitter Malado Kaba added 2 service aces.

SUNY Maritime was led by Colleen Sheehy with 5 kills.
