Box Score Farmingdale, NY- The Medgar Evers College Men's Basketball Cougars fell to the Farmingdale State College Rams 73-48 earlier tonight. The Rams improve to 3-0 Overall while the Cougars drop to 1-2 Overall.
The Cougars started off the game with a 3pt. shot and an early lead. They would lead 3 times in the 1st four minutes of the game. The Rams took the lead for the 3rd time in this game with 16:09 left, from a layup by Curtis Williams. The Cougars would cut the lead to just a point 4 times in the 1st half, but couldn't regain the lead. The Cougars shot 26% from the field, 21% from 3pt. range, and 67% from the free throw line, all in the 1st half. Down by 25 at the break, the Cougars needed to make a comeback in the 2nd half. The 2nd half was close, trading baskets throughout the 20 minutes.

Khalid Yousef with a game high 16pts (2-5 3pt. range, and 2-5 FT-FTA). Yousef grabbed 5 rebounds, and added a steal. Freshman

Farmingdale State in the win, was led by Donald Lawes with 15pts and 11 rebounds.Â
The Cougars are back in action on Friday Nov. 22, 2013, when they travel to Manhattanville College and play in the AJ Buchanan Classic. This tournament is held in Purchase, NY and game time between the host Valiants and Cougars, will tip-off at 8pm. The Consolation Game will be on Saturday Nov. 23, 2013, at 1pm or 3pm, bettwen either Eastern Connecticut State or Catholic University.Â
