Box Score Brooklyn, NY- The Medgar Evers College Men's Basketball Cougars fell to the Ramapo College Roadrunners 84-62 earlier tonight. Ramapo improves to 1-3 Overall while the Cougars fall to 1-6 Overall.
The 1st six minutes of action, showed three ties, and a Cougars led, but not by much. The pace was quick early on, and a bit sloppy. RIght off the bat, the Cougars committed three fouls, in three minutes. After Junior Guard
Khalid Yousef, tied the game at 10, on a layup, Freshman Guard
Dwight Montgomery, would answer with another layup, putting the Cougars in front with a 12-10 lead. With 12:40 left in the 1st half, Ramapo tied the game, and never looked back.
In the loss, the Cougars were led by Freshman Guard
Jordan Tyson, with 17pts (2-3 FT-FTA). Tyson grabbed four rebounds, added five assists, and three steals. Junior Guard
Khalid Yousef scored 10pts (3-4 FT-FTA). Yousef grabbed three rebounds, added an assist, and two steals. Junior Forward/Center
Valin Williams recorded 12 rebounds, and swiped away seven balls.
Ramapo in the win, was led by Jermaine Emanuel with 23pts. Frank Nock tallied 21pts, and George Sapp added 13pts.
The Cougars will be back in action on Friday December. 6th, 2013, when they travel to 137th in Manhattan, and play the City College of New York Beavers. Game time is 7pm.
