Box Score New York, NY- The Men's Basketball Cougars fell to the 97-83 earlier tonight. The Beavers improve to 2-2 Overall and 1-1 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 1-7 Overall and 0-2 CUNYAC.

The Cougars and Beavers played a tight first half. The game was tied twice in the 1st two minutes. The Beavers led for most of the 1st half. The Cougars stayed close to the lead, but couldn't get over the hump. The Cougars finally regained the lead, after a pair of free throws from Sophomore Guard Mark Hudson (38-37 with 1:55 left in 1st half). CCNY would regain the lead, and go into the half up by three points.

In the 2nd half, the Cougars tied the game at 41 apiece, on a layup from Junior Guard Khalid Yousef, with 19:27 left in the game. CCNY would once again take over the lead, and not look back.  

In the loss, the Cougars were led by Junior Guard Khalid Yousef with a game high 38pts (4-8 3pt. range, and 8-10 FT-FTA). The Flushing, NY native grabbed nine rebounds, and added two steals. Junior Forward/Center and Captain Valin Williams scored 11pts (3-6 FT-FTA), grabbed seven rebounds, tallied an assist, a block, and a steal. Sophomore Guard Mark Hudson scored 11pts as well. The Far Rockaway native was perfect on the free throw line, shooting 4-4. He grabbed five rebounds, added an assist, and a block. Sophomore Guard and Captain Pablo Segura added 10pts (4-5  FT-FTA). The Hicksville, NY native grabbed a pair of rebounds, and recorded two steals.

In the win, CCNY was led by Anthony Lewis with 27pts. Che McCoy scored 14pts, Guilherme Brodt tallied 12pts, and Jordan Ortega added 10pts. 

The Cougars will be back in action, when the Hunter College Hawks invade Medgar Evers College, on Tuesday December 10th, 2013. Game time will be 8pm.
