Box Score Jamaica, NY- This Men's Basketball contest featuring the Cougars and York Cardinals can be compared to a tug of war. This game at York College came down to the finish with Medgar Evers College prevailing. The Cougars won 75-74. They improve to 11-13 Overall and 7-8 CUNYAC while the Cardinals drop to 10-14 Overall and 6-9 CUNYAC.
The game had a total of 10 ties. Both teams made their shots and were within 6pts of each other. Medgar Evers College led by as much as 11pts in the 1st half, before York came back to tie the score at 35. The Cougars would lead at the half 39-35.
In the 2nd half, the Cougars led for the majority of the 20 minutes. There were a couple of ties and York led briefly with 16:45 left in the game 41-39. The Cougars would regain the lead and grow it to 9pts twice. York kept chipping away at the lead, cutting the lead to a point 3 times. York would miss a 3pt. shot with time running out.

Michael Taylor. The Brooklyn, NY native recorded his 3rd straight double double. Taylor scored a game high 36pts (4-6 3pt. FG-FGA, and 8-9 FT-FTA), grabbed 11 rebounds (all defensive), tallied 2 assists, and a steal. Sophomore
Hector Navarro scored 11pts (1-2 FT-FTA), grabbed 7 rebounds, dished out 6 assists, and added 2 steals.
The Cardinals in the loss, were led by Tony Vails with 24pts. Du'Quan Lawson added 17pts.
The Cougars will finish out the 2012-13 regular season with a game in Manhattan. Medgar Evers College will play at Baruch College against the Bearcats on Tuesday February 12, 2013. Game time is 7:30pm.
