Box Score Hyde Park, NY- The Women's Volleyball team fell to the Culinary Institute of America Steels 3-0 earlier today. The scores were 25-12, 25-14, and 25-6 CIA. The Steels improve to 5-1 Overall and 4-0 HVIAC while the Cougars drop to 1-8 Overall and 0-2 HVIAC.

The Cougars tallied 13 kills but committed 14 errors which cost them the victory.

The Cougars in the loss, were led by Senior Outside Hitter Janiece Hill with 4 kills on 13 total attacks. Hill added an assist, and a dig. Fellow classmate Middle Hitter/Outside Hitter Beatrice Bonhomme and Junior Outside Hitter Kiwelewa Mlimwengu recorded 3 kills apiece. Sophomore Setter Nina Bernadine-White tallied 6 assists and recorded a team high 2 service aces.

Culinary Institute in the win, was led by LaRae Willis with 4 kills. Willis along with Kathryn Ritter added 5 service aces.

The Cougars will be back in action on Thursday Sept. 26, 2013, when they travel to New Rochelle, NY and battle the College of New Rochelle Blue Angels. This will be a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match and will start at 7pm.
