COUGARS WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DROP A PAIR IN A MULTI MATCH

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Wilkes Barre, PA- The Women's Volleyball Cougars fell to a pair of non-conference opponents earlier today at the King's College (PA) Multi Match. In the 1st match, the Saint Joseph's College of Brooklyn Bears defeated the Cougars 3-0 (25-6, 25-12, and 25-7). The Bears improve to 4-4 Overall while the Cougars drop to 1-10 Overall. In Match 2, the host King's College of PA Monarchs defeated the Cougars 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-10). The Monarchs improve to 9-5 Overall while the Cougars drop to 1-11 Overall.

In Match 1, the Cougars didn't play well. They hit as a team -.068. Leading the Cougars was Senior Middle Hitter Beatrice Bonhomme with 3 kills on 9 total attacks. Bonhomme added 6 digs. Freshman Setter Charlena Mackey led the team in assists with 5.

The Bears of Saint Joseph's College was led by Lauren GaNun with 13 kills.

In Match 2, the Cougars recorded a hitting percentage of .114. The Cougars were led by Senior Outside Hitter Janiece Hill with 6 kills. Hill also added a team high 4 digs. Freshman's Charlena Mackey and Kalifa Roberts tallied 4 assists.

The Monarchs in the win, was led Alexa Nelson with 7 kills.

The Cougars will be back in action on Friday, October 4, 2013, when they play the King's College of New York Kings.
