COUGARS FALL TO YORK COLLEGE IN MEN'S BASKETBALL

Box Score Jamaica, NY- The Medgar Evers College Men's Basketball Cougars fell to the York College Cardinals 103-68 earlier tonight. The Cardinals improve to 9-5 Overall and 6-1 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 1-14 Overall and 0-7 CUNYAC. 

The Cardinals led from the opening tip. The lone bright spot was the Cougars shot better from 3pt. range (35% from the field than York's 31.8%).

In the loss, the Cougars were led by Junior Guard Khalid Yousef with 18pts (1-1 FT-FTA). The Queens, NY native grabbed three rebounds, dished out an assist, and added a steal. Freshman Guard Woodly Desir added 9pts. 

In the win, the Cougars were led by Michael Woods with a game high 44pts. Woods broke a Cardinals single game record. Donald Rodriguez scored 16pts and Du'Quan Lawson added 10pts. 

The Cougars will be back in action on Friday January 17, 2014, when they travel to New York, NY and take on the Baruch College Bearcats. Game time is 7:30pm.
