Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Kings Point, NY- The Medgar Evers College Women's Volleyball team fell to the United States Merchant Marine Academy Mariners 3-0 and Manhattanville College Valiants 3-0. 

In match one, the Cougars fell to the host United States Merchant Marine Academy Mariners 3-0 (5-25, 6-25, and 8-25). The Mariners improve to 14-6 overall while the Cougars drop to 3-17 overall. 

The Cougars tallied seven kills for the match. They were led by Sophomore Outside Hitter Kalifa Roberts with five kills on 14 total attacks. Roberts dished out three assists and added two digs. Senior Outside Hitter Kiwelewa Mlimwengu and Junior Setter AnnMarie Bemberry each added a kill. Merchant Marine was led by Michelle Danhof with four kills. 

In match two, the Cougars fell to the Manhattanville College Valiants 3-0 (9-25, 8-25, 7-25). The Valiants improve to 10-12 overall while the Cougars drop to 3-18 overall. 

The Cougars tallied 12 kills for the match. They were led by Sophomore Outside Hitter Kalifa Robers with six kills on 20 total attacks. Roberts dished out an assist, 10 digs, and a solo block. Senior Outside Hitter Kiwlewa Mlimwengu tallied three kills on 18 total attacks. Kiwelewa dished out an assist and added three digs. Junior Setter AnnMarie Bemberry dished out a team high five assists. Bemberry added three digs and two solo blocks. Sophomore Middle Hitter Malado Kaba added a service ace. Manhattanville was led by Amanda Materasso with six kills. 

The Cougars will be back in action on Monday October 13, 2014, when they play the John Jay College Bloodhounds and the host College of Staten Island Dolphins. It will be part of the 2nd CUNYAC Multi Match of the season. Matches will be 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
