Box Score 2 Staten Island, NY- The Medgar Evers College Women's Volleyball teams played the John Jay College Bloodhounds and the College of Staten Island Dolphins. This was part of the 2nd CUNYAC Multi Matches of the season. In match one, the John Jay Bloodhounds defeated the Medgar Evers College Cougars 3-0 (8-25, 20-25, and 21-25). The Bloodhounds improve to (7-10, 2-5 CUNYAC), while the Cougars drop to (3-19, 0-5 CUNYAC).
The Cougars tallied 15 kills on 70 total attacks. The game play was back and forth at times. Sophomore Outside Hitter
Kalifa Roberts led the Cougars with five kills on 26 total attacks. Roberts added a service ace and seven digs. Sophomore Middle Hitter

AnnMarie Bemberry dished out five assists. John Jay was led by Vanessa Caballero with seven kills.
In match two, the College of Staten Island Dolphins defeated the Cougars 3-0 (13-25, 21-25, 12-25). The Dolphins improve to (7-8, 2-4 CUNYAC) while the Cougars drop to (3-18, 0-6 CUNYAC).
The Cougars tallied 20 kills. Their play was back and forth at times. In the 2nd set, the Cougars led twice before CSI came back to win the set.Â
The Cougars were led by Senior Outside Hitter
Kiwelewa Mlimwengu with six kills on 17 total attacks. Kiwelewa dished out an assist, added a service ace, and four digs. Sophomore Outside Hitter
Kalifa Roberts tallied five kills. Sophomore Outside Hitter
Charlena Mackey dished out a team high 11 assists. The College of Staten Island Dolphins were led by Siobhan Granich with 15 kills.
The Cougars will be back in action on Wednesday October 15, 2014, when they play the SUNY Maritime Privateers at Medgar Evers College. First serve is 7:00 pm.Â
