Box Score Brooklyn, NY- The Women's Volleyball team fell to the College of Saint Elizabeth Screaming Eagles 3-1 (24-26, 18-25, 26-24, and 17-25). The Screaming Eagles improve to 9-20 overall while the Cougars drop to 3-23 overall.

This match was battled between two even teams. In the 1st set, the Cougars were down 4-2 before going on a 9-0 run. They would lead 16-6 and 18-12 before the Screaming Eagles would go on and win the set 26-24. In the 2nd set, the tables were turned in favor of the Screaming Eagles. They were down 5-2 before going on a 9-0 run, leading 11-5. They would lead for most of the set and won 25-18. In the 3rd set, it featured five ties. Both teams would swap the lead multiple times. With score tied at 24, the Cougars Charlena Mackey would earn two service aces, and win the set 26-24. In the 4th set, the Screaming Eagles controlled the pace. Up 21-15, the Cougars committed some unforced errors, and the College of  Saint Elizabeth would capitalize. They would win the set 25-17.

In the loss, the Cougars were led by Sophomore Outside Hitter Kalifa Roberts with eight kills on 20 total attacks. Kalifa added five service aces, and six digs. Senior Outside Hitter Kiwelewa Mlimwengu tallied five kills on 17 total attacks. Kiwelewa added three service aces, four digs, and a blocking assist. Junior Setter AnnMarie Bemberry dished out a team high 16 assists. Sophomore Opposite Hitter Charlena Mackey recorded five service aces.  

In the win, the Screaming Eagles were led by Kiana Cunningham with 11 kills. 

The Cougars will be back in action on Thursday October 23, 2014, when they play the Hunter College Hawks. It will be Dig Pink Night and Senior Night as well.
