Box Score New York, NY- The Men's Basketball team needed to win their last three games, and needed CCNY to lose their last three games as well. CCNY fell to Brooklyn College on Feb. 11, but then earlier tonight, Medgar Evers College were defeated by the John Jay Bloodhounds 56-45 at John Jay College. The win improved the Bloodhounds record to 9-14 Overall and 7-7 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 2-21 Overall and 1-13 CUNYAC.

Mark Hudson, with 19:27 left in the 1st half. The Bloodhounds would take the lead two minutes later, and never relinquished it. Early on, the Cougars were in striking distance of the lead, but once it got to double digits, the Bloodhounds made the game out of the reach.
In the loss, the Cougars were led by Sophomore Guard
Ismael Arriaza with a career high 16pts (6-10 FG-FGA and 4-7 FT-FTA). The Queens, NY native also grabbed a rebound. Junior Guard
Khalid Yousef scored 11pts (2-2 FT-FTA), grabbed seven rebounds, dished out two assists, and added three steals. Junior Forward/Center and Co-Captain
Valin Williams grabbed a team high 14 rebounds.
In the win, John Jay was led by Korede Griffith with 16pts. Antoine Long added 15pts.
The Cougars will be back in action on Friday February 14, 2014, when they travel back into New York City, and battle the Hunter College Hawks. Game time is 7pm.
