Box Score New York, NY- The Medgar Evers College Women's Volleyball Cougars defeated the Yeshiva University Maccabees 3-1 (25-23, 18-25, 25-8, 25-19) earlier today. The win improved the Cougars record to 2-7 Overall while Yeshiva drops to 0-5 Overall.

The Cougars played well in this match, tallying 23 kills on 88 total attacks. They worked as a team and all the right passes. 

Medgar Evers College was led by Sophomore Outside Kalifa Roberts with a season, and match high nine kills on 31 total attacks. The Trinidadian recorded a career high 11 service aces, and season high 12 digs. Senior Outside Hitter Kiwelewa Mlimwengu recorded five kills on 23 total attacks. The Brooklyn, NY native tallied three service aces, and a season high 15 digs. Junior Setter AnnMarie Bemberry dished out a match high 17 assists. 

Yeshiva in the loss was led by Emily Rohan with five kills.

Medgar Evers College will be back in action this weekend, when they play in the Keyston College Quad Match.On Friday Sept. 19, the Cougars will play Wilkes University Colonels at 4:00pm and Purchase College Panthers at 8:00pm. Then on Saturday Sept. 20, the Cougars will play the host Keystone College Giants at 2:00pm and  Rosemont College Ravens at 6:00pm.
