Brooklyn, NY- The Men's Basketball defeated the John Jay College Bloodhounds 67-61 earlier tonight. The win snaps a home conference losing streak of 10 games, and a conference losing streak of 11 games. The Cougars improve to 2-12 overall and 1-6 CUNYAC, while John Jay College dropped to 2-13 overall and 1-6 CUNYAC.
John Jay led for the 33 minutes of the game. The Cougars largest deficit was 11pts. With 7:02 left in the game, the Cougars tied the game at 71, when Senior Forward
Valin Williams made a layup. John Jay College would cut a lead, and tie the game at 55, with 3:10 left in the game. The Cougars would go on a 12-6 run, ending a game in a win. In the final 90 seconds, Junior Guard
Mark Hudson made six straight free throws, a big key in that run.

Valin Williams grabbed a game high 20 rebounds. In the loss, John Jay College was led by Kris Owens with 21pts. Korede Griffith scored 16pts and Darrell Robinson added 12pts.
The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday, January. 17, 2015, when they travel to Staten Island, NY, and play the College of Staten Island Dolphins. Tip-off will be 1:00pm.
