BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Medgar Evers senior guard
Matthew Lee (Bloomfield, N.J./Westtown) was recognized for his outstanding start on the offensive end as website Hero Sports named him as one of Divison III's 'Hot Shots', as one of the top offensive players in the country this season.
Through seven games this season for the Cougars (3-4), Lee leads the CUNYAC and is in the top-5 of all Division III with an average of 30.0 points per game to go along with 6.7 rebounds per game. The senior has notched two double-doubles this season, and has posted four games of 30 points or more, including a season-best 44 points in a comeback victory over Cairn on November 30.
Up next for Medgar Evers is a doubleheader with the women's team taking on CUNYAC opponent Lehman College Friday night in the Bronx. The women's game starts at 5:00 p.m. followed by the men's contest at 7.
