Box Score Women's Volleyball Falls 3-0 to St. Joes on Senior Night
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Oct. 11, 2016) – On Tuesday night, the women's volleyball team hosted the Bears of St. Joseph's College. It was senior night at the Cougars' Cave and all the seniors were honored on the court before the match with a framed picture and flowers to commemorate their hard work and dedication. The Lady Cougars battled tough in set one but lost 25-17, the closest they came to winning a set on the night. They would eventually lose in straight sets to SJC. With this loss, Medgar Evers falls to 0-21 on the year and St. Joseph's College improves to 6-6.
 
Sophomore Charlena Mackey led the Lady Cougars with a team-high nine digs while senior Kalifa Roberts added eight digs in her final match at the Cougars' Cave. Freshman Adenike Akindude added six digs, four kills and three aces to her credit also.

Women's volleyball will be back in action on Thursday, October 13, as they travel to the College at Old Westbury for a nonconference match. The match will start at 6 p.m. and take place in Old Westbury, N.Y.
