Box Score Women's Volleyball Falls in CUNYAC Match at John Jay
NEW YORK, N.Y. (Oct. 20, 2016) – On Thursday night, the women's volleyball team traveled to John Jay College for a CUNYAC matchup. Medgar Evers battled all three sets on the night and kept it close but were never able to string enough runs together to win a set. With this loss, Medgar Evers falls to 0-23 on the year (0-8 CUNYAC) and John Jay improves to 9-11 (6-2 CUNYAC).
 
Freshman Melisa Wright led the Lady Cougars with eight digs on the night while classmate senior Kalifa Roberts added six digs and recorded four kills on the night. Freshman Adenike Akindude added five digs, four assists and three kills.

Women's volleyball will be back in action on Saturday, October 22, as they travel to the College of Staten Island for a CUNYAC tri match between CSI and New Jersey City University. The first match will begin at 2 p.m.
