Box Score Women's Volleyball Defeated in Nonconference Match
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Oct. 6, 2016) – On Thursday night, the women's volleyball team hosted the Rams of Farmingdale State for their annual Dig Pink: Volley for the Cure game at the Cougars Cave. Medgar Evers struggled with the athleticism of the Rams and were eventually swept. With this loss, Medgar Evers falls to 0-18 on the year and Farmingdale State improves to 7-6.
Freshman Adenike Akindude recorded a team-high seven digs on the night as well as four kills. Sophomore Charlena Mackey had four assists to go along with one kill also.
Women's volleyball will be back in action on Monday, October 10, as they travel to the College of Staten Island for a CUNYAC tri match between CSI and Brooklyn College. The first match will begin at 2 p.m.
