Box Score Women's Volleyball Loses in Straight Sets
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Sep. 20, 2016) – On Tuesday, the Lady Cougars volleyball team took on the Gryphons of Sarah Lawrence College in a non-conference matchup. Although they were swept they fought hard pushing Sarah Lawrence to the edge in the third and final set. With this loss, Medgar Evers falls to 0-10 on the season, while Sarah Lawrence College improves to 5-3.
 
Senior Kalifa Roberts recorded a team-high seven kills while adding six digs and an ace to her credit. Freshman Adenike Akindude added four kills and three digs while sophomore Charlena Mackey recorded five assists on the night.  The Lady Cougars played arguably their best game of the year in game three of their match tonight losing by just seven points.
 
The women's volleyball team will be back in action on Thursday, September 22, against the City College of New York in a CUNYAC matchup.  The match will take place in New York, N.Y. and the time for the match is TBA.
