Women's volleyball drops non-conference match to borough foe Pratt Institute

Box Score The Cougars women's volleyball team dropped a non-conference match on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Cannoneers of Pratt Institute by scores of 8-25, 6-25, and 11-25 at the Pratt ARC in Brooklyn, NY. With the defeat, Medgar Evers fell to a mark of 1-15 on the 2022 campaign, while the Cannoneers improved to 9-7 overall.

Britonya Lloyd paced Medgar Evers, posting team-highs of five digs and three kills.

Olivia Julich led all players with nine kills on the afternoon, hitting an impressive .667 while committing just one hitting error. Rose Moon contributed seven kills, and Emily Sontag and Alison Fagan notched six kills apiece. As a team, Pratt collected 18 service aces, with Gabby Genduso contributed six, and Sontag finalizing her afternoon with four. Setter
Emma Leavey led all players with a match-high 27 assists.

The Cannoneers maintained control throughout the contest, finding themselves trailing just one time on the afternoon - early in the third set.

Medgar Evers will return to the court Tuesday evening, as the Cougars will welcome CUNYAC foe Hunter College to the Cougars Cave. Start-time for the conference clash is scheduled for 7:00pm.
